Image formed by Convex lens
1. When object lies at infinity: Parallel rays coming from object at infinity converges and forms a image at principal focus F2. Image formed is highly diminished - point sized, real and inverted.
2. When object lies beyond 2F: When an object lies beyond 2F, a diminished, real and inverted image forms between principal focus, F2 and center of curvature, C2 at the opposite side.
3. When object lies at 2F: When an object lies at 2F, a same sized, real and inverted image forms at the center of curvature, C2.
4. When object lies between F and 2F: When object lies between F and 2F, an enlarged, real and inverted image forms beyond Center of curvature C2.
5. When object lies at F: When object lies at F, an infinitely large, real and inverted image forms at inifinity.
6. When object lies between F and O: When object lies between principal focus(F1) and Optical center(O), a virtual, erect and enlarged image forms at the same side of lens.
Image formed by Concave lens: Irrespective of the position of the image, concave image forms virtual, erect and diminished image.
