Coca-Cola is bottled and sold for the first time

Summer is coming and all we can think of how to satisfy our thirst in these hot days. Cold drinks have been a great friend in such days. So there is nobody who hasn’t heard of the Coca-Cola. It is one of the most famous brands of cold drink that is sold in the world.

The first bottling of Coca-Cola occurred in Vicksburg, Mississippi, at the Biedenharn Candy Company on 12 March 1894. The proprietor of the bottling works was Joseph A. Biedenharn. The original bottles were Hutchinson bottles. It was very different from today’s design which is familiar to hobble-skirt design.

Coca-Cola or Coke is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by The Coca-Cola Company. Originally intended as a patent medicine, it was invented in the late 19th century by John Stith Pemberton and was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coca-Cola to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century. The drink's name refers to two of its original ingredients: coca leaves, and kola nuts (a source of caffeine).
