Death of Last Male Northern White Rhinoceros

Many species of  animals are being extinct due to the various human activities. Human activities such as hunting, poaching, etc. have lead to the reduction of many  animals. Humans have been using rare animal’s body part for their luxury and entertainment for years now. Although government of many country has banned the illegal poaching and hunting of animals, the extinction is still not slowing.

The last male northern white rhinoceros(Sudan) died on the 19th of March 2018. The northern white rhinoceros, or northern square-lipped rhinoceros, is one of two subspecies of the white rhinoceros (the other being the southern white rhinoceros). Formerly found in several countries in East and Central Africa south of the Sahara, this subspecies is a grazer in grasslands and savanna woodlands. As of March 19, 2018, there were only two known rhinos of this subspecies left, both of which are female. barring the existence of unknown or misclassified male northern white rhinos elsewhere in Africa, this makes the subspecies functionally extinct.

Many joint efforts from many country in the world are being held to protect such animals. Individua efforts should be made to preserv these animals before we loose many more species of animals.
