Stephen Hawking Broke British Bestseller Records

Stephen William Hawking, an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist broke British publishing records on July 2, 1992 when his book ‘A Brief History of Time’ remained on the nonfiction bestseller list for three and a half years, selling more than 3 million copies.

The book explaining from the Big Bang to Black Holes is a popular science book on cosmology. It was first published in 1988. The book was made into an acclaimed documentary in 1992, which focused largely on Hawking’s own story. Hawking writes in non-technical terms about the structure, origin, development and eventual fate of the Universe.
